Munnar , Kerala

           Munnar is a town and hill station in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Munnar is situated around 1600 m above sea level in the Western Ghats range of mountains. Large tea plantations, forests, hill ranges, valleys and wildlife makes anyone fall in love with this place.
















Pothamedu

Pothamedu offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills, the lush mountain and the breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks.




















Mattupetty Dam

Mattupetty Dam, near Munnar in Idukki District, is a storage Concrete Gravity dam built in the mountains of Kerala, India to conserve water for hydroelectricity. Its reservoir is an idyllic place to enjoy the serene nature.




















Devikulam

Devikulam is a small hill station about 5 km from Munnar in the Idukki District of the southern state of Kerala in India. It is 1800 m above sea level.



Kerala Tourist Place [ Fort Kochi ]

             Fort Kochi is situated about 13 km from Ernakulam and is famous for Chinese fishing nets, picturesque beaches and architectural style of the buildings.The Church Road is a nice place to walk with the cool breeze from the Arabian Sea caressing your body.The chinese fishing nets (Cheenavala) are distinctly unique to Cochin. It is believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets here. Oddly, these nets are found only in Kochi, outside China.









Kerala Tourist Place [ Chembra Peak ]

                      Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad, at 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) above sea level. Chembra is located near the town of Meppady and is 8 km south of Kalpetta. It is part of the Wayanad hill ranges in Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala. The hills, rocks and valleys which contribute to the very unique character of Wayanad provide a lot for adventure tourism. Trekking to the Chembra peak is a risky mountaineering endeavour. Trekking to the top of this peak takes almost a day. Tourists can also stay one or two days at the top of the peak in temporary camps. District Tourism Promotion Council provides guides, sleeping bags, canvases, huts and trekking implements on hire. The scenic beauty of Wayanad, which is visible from the top of Chambra, is very exhilerating.







Kerala Tourist Place [ Edakkal Cave ]

                 This location of breathtaking beauty is three kilometres from Ambalavayal which is 25 kilometres from Kalpetta. The Edakkal cave in the Ambukuthy mountain.

Kerala Hill Stations

Munnar

Munnar is a town and hill station in the southwestern state of Kerala, India. Munnar is situated around 1600 m above sea level. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.


















Ponmudi

Ponmudi (the Golden Peak) is a hill station in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala in India. Its located 55.2 km north-east of Trivandrum city at an altitude of 1100 m. It is a part of the Western Ghats mountain range that runs parallel to the Arabian Sea. Ponmudi is blessed with scenic splendor and natural beauty, Ponmudi has a carpet of thick tropical forest that rolls down to the foot of the hill range












Vagamon

Vagamon is a hill station located in Kottayam-Idukki border of Kottayam district of Kerala, India. It has a cool climate with the temperature between 10 and 23 °C during a summer midday. It is situated 1,100 metres above sea level. Vagamon was discovered by the British who found the place ideal for tea plantations and they were followed by Christian missionaries who built their abode of service at Kurisumala in Vagamon. National Geographic Traveler has listed Vagamon on their directory of the 50 most attractive places to visit in India.

Kerala Blasters Football Club

Kerala Blasters FC is an Indian Super League football franchise in Kochi, Kerala that will begin play in October 2014 during the inaugural season of the Indian Super League.The team is owned by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Prasad V Potluri.
